OF THE AUTHOR'S WORKS. 3932 CONTAINING The CONDUCT of the ALLIES, Printed by and for GEORGE FAULKNER. THE Publisher's PREFACE. T HE Publifher of the four preceding Volumes, having met with great Success in the Sale of them, was encouraged by the fuppofed Author's Friends, to collect all his political Writings, and other Pieces, in two Volumes; in which, he was affifted by thofe Gentlemen, who favoured him in correcting the former Writings. The Conduct of the Allies, which made a great Noife in the World, and was univerfally allowed by the oppofite Party, to be the best written Pamphlet which had appeared upon the Subject, is a Treatife that was thought too material to be loft, as it ferves for a History of thofe Times, and gives a great Light into the Affairs tranfacting all over Europe; and, it is remarkable, that the Ministry of his late Majefty's Reign, as well as of the prefent, have avoided running into an expenfive War by Land, to assist their Allies, although it might have faved the Empire lately from Ruin, both in Germany and Italy.
