O Lamb of God: that takest away the sins of the world;

Grant us thy peace.

O Lamb of God: that takest away the sins of the world;

Have mercy upon us.

O Christ, hear us.

O Christ, hear us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.

The Lord's Prayer.

OUR Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed

be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.

M. Lord, hear our prayers.

A. And let our cry come unto thee.

Confession.

MOST gracious God, We confess that we have most justly provoked thy wrath and indignation against us. O Lord, we have angered thee by the sins of our youth, and the sins of our riper years; By the sins of our soul, and the sins of our body; By our negligences and ignorances; By the evil things we have done to please ourselves, and the evil things we have done to please others; By the sins we know and remember, and the sins we have forgotten; By the sins we have kept secret from others, and the sins by which we have made others to offend. But, O Lord, be not angry with us for ever. Spare us, good Lord, who with true and hearty sorrow confess our sinfulness, And forgive us,

we beseech thee, all that we have done amiss, For His sake, who died for our sins and rose again for our justification, And now standeth at thy right hand, to make intercession for us, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A

PRAYER FOR REMISSION OF SINS.

LMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made, and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent; Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we worthily lamenting our sins, and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer.

OUR Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed

be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil : For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

M. O Lord, open thou our lips.

A. And our mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

¶ Here all shall stand up.

A Hymn of Praise.

LESSED art thou, O Lord, who as on this day didst create two lights: the greater light the sun, and the lesser light the moon, and the stars also.

A. Thou bringest out their host by number: and callest them all by their names.

M. Thou hast set them in the firmament of the heaven: to give light upon the earth.

A. And to be for signs, and for seasons: and for days, and

years.

M. The sun cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber: and rejoiceth as a giant to run his course.

A. It goeth forth from the uttermost part of the heaven, and runneth about unto the end of it again: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

M. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers: the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

A. What is man, that thou art mindful of him: and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

M. The days of our age are threescore years and ten; and though men be so strong that they come to fourscore years: yet is their strength

then but labour and sorrow; so soon passeth it away, and we are gone.

A. So teach us to number our days: that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

M. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Ghost;

A. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

II. FOR A WAKEFUL SPIRIT.

ERCIFUL Lord, who of thine abundant goodness towards us, hast made the day to travail in, and ordained the night wherein to take our rest; Grant us such rest of body, that we may continually have a waking soul, to watch for the time when our Lord shall appear to deliver us from this mortal life. Let no vain or wandering fancy trouble us; let our ghostly enemies have no power over us, but let our minds be set wholly upon thy presence, to love, and fear, and rest in thee alone; that being refreshed with a moderate and sober sleep, we may rise up again
