Publishers' Note to this Edition.

In a Sketch of CHARLES GEORGE GORDON by Rev. R. H. Baines and Major C. E. The Publishers issue the present edition of Clarke's Scripture Promises in answer to very numerous applications for the Edition used by the late General Gordon.

May 1885.
