SUNDAY MORNING.

Portions of Psalms to be read, one or more, before the Prayers.

I.

This is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter into it.

Open me the gates of righteousness, that I may go into them, and give thanks unto the Lord.

I will thank thee, for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

Help me now, O Lord: O Lord, send us now prosperity.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord we have wished you good luck, ye that are of the house of the Lord.

God is the Lord who hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, yea, even unto the horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will thank thee: thou art my God, and I will praise thee.

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is gracious, and his mercy endureth for ever.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalm cxviii. 24. 20. 19. 21. 25-29.

II.

O how amiable are thy dwellings, thou Lord of hosts!

My soul hath a desire and longing to enter into the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be alway praising thee.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee, in whose heart are thy ways.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: hearken, O God of Jacob.

For one day in thy courts is better than a thousand.

I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of ungodliness.

For the Lord God is a light and defence: the Lord will give grace and worship, and no good thing shall he withhold from them that live a godly life.

O Lord God of hosts, blessed is the man that putteth his trust in thee.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalm lxxxiv.

III.

O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the whole earth.

Sing unto the Lord, and praise his Name, be telling of his salvation from day to day.

Declare his honour unto the heathen, and his wonders unto all people.

Tell it out among the heathen that the Lord is King; and that it is he who hath made the round world so fast that it cannot be moved; and how that he shall judge the people righteously.

For the Lord is great, and cannot worthily be praised: it is he that made the heavens.

Glory and worship are before him: power and honour are in his sanctuary.

Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, ascribe unto the Lord worship and power.

Ascribe unto the Lord the honour due unto his Name: bring presents, and come into his courts.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: let the whole earth stand in awe of him.

As for me, I will come into thine house, even upon the multitude of thy mercy, and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalms xcvi. and v. 7.

LET US PRAY.

To spend the Lord's Day aright.

O Eternal God, Creator of heaven and earth, who at the beginning didst bless the seventh day, and sanctify it, give us grace to remember it to keep it holy; that we may honour thee therein, not doing our own ways, nor finding our own pleasure, nor speaking our own words, but seeking our delight in thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Isaiah lviii. 13, 14.

For the favourable hearing of our Prayers.

Almighty God, the Fountain of all goodness, who knowest our necessities before we ask, and our ignorance in asking, assist us mercifully in our public worship this day. Have compassion on our infirmities; incline thine ear to our prayers; and give us grace so to ask as to have, so to seek as to find, so to knock that the gate of mercy may be opened unto us; through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Collect in Communion Service, and Luke xi. 9, 10.

For the Clergy.

Most merciful Father, we beseech thee to send upon thy servants, the Clergy, this day, thy heavenly blessing, that thy Word spoken by their mouths may

have such success, that it may nowhere be spoken in vain. Grant, also, that we, and all thy people, may have grace to hear and receive what they shall deliver out of thy most holy Word, or agreeable to the same, as the means of our salvation; that in all our words and deeds we may seek thy glory, and the increase of thy kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Ordering of Priests.

Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.
