T. MATT. xxvi. 26, 29; ST. MARK xiv. 22, 25; ST. LUKE Xxii. 19, 20.

AND as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said,

Take, eat, this is My Body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of Me.

Likewise also the Cup after supper, saying,

Drink ye all of it; for this is My Blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Prayer.

ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, whose only Son Jesus Christ did institute, and in His holy Gospel command us to continue a perpetual memory of His precious death for the sins of the whole world, until His coming again; Grant me, gracious Lord, so to eat the Flesh of Thy dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink His Blood, that my sinful body may be made clean by His Body, and my soul washed through His most precious Blood, and that I may evermore dwell in Him, and He in me. AMEN.

ine o'clock.

"Night."

CHRIST COVERTLY FORETELLETH OF THE TRAITOR; AND DISCOVERETH TO JOHN, BY A TOKEN, THAT JUDAS SHOULD BETRAY HIM.

ST. LUKE Xxii. 21, 23; ST. JOHN Xiii. 23, 30.

BEHOLD, the hand of him that betrayeth Me, is with Me on the table. And truly the Son of Man goeth, as it was determined; but woe unto that man by whom He is betrayed!

Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. He saith unto Him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered,

He it is to whom I shall give a sop when I have dipped it.

And when He had dipped the sop, He gave it to Judas Iscariot: and after the sop, Satan entered into him. He then having received the sop, went immediately out, and it was night.

Prayer.

LORD, we beseech Thee, grant Thy people grace to withstand the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil; and with pure hearts and minds to follow Thee, the only God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

AMEN.

From all evil and mischief; from sin, from the crafts and assaults of the devil; from Thy wrath, and from everlasting damnation,

Good Lord deliver us!

JESUS FOREWARNETH PETER OF HIS DENIAL; COMFORTETH HIS DISCIPLES WITH THE HOPE OF HEAVEN; PROFESSETH HIMSELF THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; LEAVETH HIS PEACE WITH THEM.

AND

ST. MATT. Xxvi. 31, 35; ST. MARK xiv. 27, 31; ST. LUKE Xxii. 31, 34; ST. JOHN xii. 36, 38; xiv.

PETER said unto Him, although all shall be offended, yet will not I. And Jesus saith unto him,

Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny Me thrice.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.
