The Folio Books, viz. from 1 to 370, formed the Library of a Gentleman at Cheshire; and, having been purchased there just as this Catalogue was going to Press, a Manuscript was made of them without any Order as to Subject or Language. The List is alphabetically arranged, and will be found to contain many curious and rare Books in the various Departments of Literature, and not commonly found in Catalogues: many of them are embellished with Portraits. The Quarto and Octavo Size will appear in their respective Places in the Catalogue.

N. B. Several of the Books in this Collection of Folios

have notre not lettered and fillited-some

have not very excellent Bindings; but, in neral, they are described in the Catalogue.]
