THE TWENTY-FIRST SUNDAY AFTER

TRINITY.

THE COLLECT.

Gelas. Greg. S.M.

RANT, we beseech Thee, merciful Lord, to Thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve Thee with a quiet mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE TWENTY-FIRST SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY.

O God of love and tenderness,

From all our sins our souls release,
And us Thy waiting people bless,
With Jesu's legacy of peace.

And open now our wondering eyes,
To see the fountain shed for sin,
And from our present death to rise,
And wash our guilty souls therein.

That so we may the rough stone find,
A pillow where our head may rest,
And with a patient quiet mind,

Through Jesus Christ our Lord be blest. AMEN.

THE TWENTY-SECOND SUNDAY AFTER

TRINITY.

THE COLLECT.

S.M.

ORD we beseech Thee to keep Thy household the Church in continual godliness; that through Thy protection it may be free from all adversities, and devoutly given to serve Thee in good works, to the glory of Thy Name; though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE TWENTY-SECOND SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY.

O Lord, keep Thou, we humbly pray,

The Church, Thy children dear,

In constant piety and peace,

In holy love and fear,

That safely sheltered we may be,

And from all adverse terrors free.

And by devout affection led,
Like branches on the vine,
May fruit in ripening clusters yield,
A proof-that we are Thine,

And thus may Thy Name be adored

Through Christ our Saviour and our Lord.

THE TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY AFTER

TRINITY.

THE COLLECT.

Greg. S.M.

GOD, our refuge and strength, who art the author of all godliness; be ready, we beseech Thee, to hear the devout prayers of Thy Church; and grant that those things which we ask faithfully we may obtain effectually; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY.

O Lord, the refuge and defence

Of all Thy saints below,

The fountain head and source from whence

The living waters flow.

O lend to us a ready ear,

Who without ceasing cry,

And to Thy waiting Church draw near,

Our wants to satisfy.
