27th. To Sheriff of Anoka County, for removing Chippewa Indians from the town of Bethel, per order of Gov. Miller, thirty-one dollars and ten cents.

28th. For services of Claim Agent and clerk hire for eighteen hundred and sixty-five, as per act of Legislature, six hundred dollars.

29th. To Frederick Driscoll, for amount of internal revenue tax of five per cent. on State work to amount of ten thousand five hundred and thirty-seven dollars and seventy-four cents, paid and to be paid to the U. S. collector, on work performed under contract of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, executed prior to the passage of the amended internal revenue law of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, five hundred and twenty-six dollars and eighty-eight cents.

30th. To the reporter of the Supreme Court, for volumes of Supreme Court Reports furnished the State as provided by law, six hundred dollars.

31st. For a military contingent fund, to be paid under the direction of the Governor, five hundred dollars.

32d. Major E. P. Evans, for services in the late Indian outbreak, thirty-two dollars and eighty cents. 33d. Capt. Hought, one hundred and five dollars.

CHAPTER LXXXII.

An Act making appropriation of money for a contin- March 2, 1865. gent fund of immigration for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-five.

SECTION 1. Appropriation for a contingent fund of Immigration.

2. When act to take effect..

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota :

SECTION 1.

That the sum of three thousand dollars

a contingent fund

or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Appropriation for treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be drawn upon of Immigration. ♬ the order of the Governor, and to be applied exclusively to the payment, for composing and printing of

pamphlets and circulars, for postage, advertising, for and for forwarding printed matter under the provisions of an act entitled an act to organize a system for the promotion of immigration to the State of Minnesota, approved March fourth, eighteen hundred and sixtyfour.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

2. When act to take effect.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota :

SECTION 1. That the following sums of money or Appropriations for SO much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the treasury, belonging to the general revenue fund, and not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of the salaries of the State officers for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-five.

1st. dollars.

For the salary of the Governor two thousand

2d. For the salary of the Secretary of State, twelve hundred dollars.

3d. For the salary of the Auditor of State, twelve hundred dollars.

4th. For the salary of the Treasurer of State, one thousand dollars.

5th. For the salary of the Attorney General, one thousand dollars.

6th. For the salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Court and District Courts, eighteen thousand dollars. 7th. For the salary of the Clerk of the Supreme Court, six hundred dollars.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.
