LITERARY

LITERARY INTELLIGENCE.

Mr. Todd's edition of Spenfer is now fo nearly completed, that it will be published in a few weeks.

We learn, with pleasure, that Dr. Crotch has been perfuaded to publish the Lectures, which he delivered at the Royal Inftitution, with the musical examples at large,

Mrs. Weft is employed upon a new work, on the characteriftic duties of women, to be entitled Letters to a young Lady.

Meffrs. A. and C. R. Aikin are preparing a Dictionary of Ch mistry and Mineralogy, with their application to Arts and Mas nufactures. It is now in the prefs, and will extend to two volumes, in quarto.

The Rev. Mr. Middleton is about to print an Inquiry into the Nature of the Greek definitive Article, with illuftrative

notes.

The Rev. H. F. Cary is printing an edition of Dante, with a tranflation in blank verfe, notes, and a new life of the author. The first volume will contain the first seventeen Cantos

of the Inferno.

We understand, that the British and Foreign Bible Society are endeavouring to collect copies of the Holy Scriptures in all foreign languages, and have received a very noble donation of that kind, in purfuance of their plan.
