Papers presented at the Geological Conference during the October 1926 BALTIMORE THE JOHNS HOPKINS PRESS 1927 EDITORIAL NOTE The celebration of the Johns Hopkins University's fiftieth anniversary consisted in part of departmental conferences at which alumni read a series of papers showing the progress in science during the half century since the University was established. There was naturally more emphasis laid on the work of the Johns Hopkins but the papers presented in the Geological Conference contained so much of general interest that it has seemed advisable to publish these as contributions to the history of the science of geology. Manuscripts of two of the papers, by Doctors Goldman and Woodring, are unfortunately not available for publication at this time. 662521 |
