It had been intended to have prefixed to the following Version and Annotations on the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews, a memoir of the life of their Author: but the Editor found it impossible to do justice to the subject, and at the same time compress it within the narrow limits necessary in this octavo volume. Besides, among the Author's papers there are many documents and letters which throw considerable light upon the history of the past and present state of Ireland; these, with a review of the measures suggested by him for its improvement, and the amelioration of the condition of its people, will perhaps with more propriety be published distinct from |
