PREFACE.

In presenting the third Volume of the GOSPEL TREASURY to Subscribers and the Public, the Editor would avail himself of this opportunity to express his gratitude for the encouragement and support he has received, through the smiles of a Gracious Providence, in this important undertaking. An undertaking which he is happy to find bids fair to be useful to the Christian and the Public. Indeed when he reflects upon the character of the work from which the Gospel Treasury is compiled, he feels satisfied no well informed, judicious person can hesitate for a moment as to the utility of the work. His only fear, from the beginning, has been in regard to the best method of bringing his invaluable original before the American Public. The acceptableness of his editorial labors has generally exceeded his anticipations. That the Blessed Spirit, whose office work it is to guide the disciples of Jesus into all truth, would be pleased graciously to lead the reader into a right knowledge of the Holy Scriptures which are able to make wise unto salvation, is the ardent and affectionate desire of one, who wishes well to all of whatever denomination, who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.

The work is respectfully offered, in complete sets, to Booksellers and other persons of responsibility, on the following conditions: Orders will be duly attended to
