HE following collection of Family Prayers TH is taken from the well-known publications of Mr. Cotterell and Mr. Jowett, the latter of which has been for some time out of print. In the present volume certain passages will be found printed in italics, which may be omitted at pleasure. Probably most persons who use a form of prayer are accustomed to omit some sentences, either with a view to brevity or because they contain expressions which, however animated or impressive, are not suited for constant repetition.
