The Society have just issued from the press, a new edition of the Memoir of THOMAS CRANFIELD, of London, by his son, assisted by Rev. Dr. Harris. This edition contains all which the first edition embraced, of which the Author, in a letter to the American compiler, said, "it was the best edition published."

It is now done up in handsome 18mo., cloth binding, and sold at the low price of 28 cents.

THE SABBATH SCHOOL CONCERT,

THE PASTOR'S FUNERAL.

[The following article from the pen of Rev. John Todd, D. D., we find published in the London " Sunday School Teachers' Magazine," for April. If read at the concert, it will interest all present, from the pastor to the smallest lamb of his flock.]

THERE are many interesting reflections attending the burial of a useful man. Thoughtless as men are on the subject of death, when they come to stand round the lifeless clay of a beloved friend or acquaintance, they then feel it to be a solemn event. And perhaps they then resolve that they will now prepare for that solemn moment; while too often the sods which cover the friend, bury also their resolutions. It is at any time interesting to follow a good man to his grave, but especially a good minister; I can well remember the impression such an occasion made upon my

mind.

It was at the funeral of an aged country minister, who for half a century had been found faithful at his post, with his loins girded and his lamp ever trimmed. Since his 13
