Wake and o'er thy folly weep;
Jesus waits his light to shed.
See the bright and living path:
Leave thy folly, seek the skies.
From this hour redeem thy time;
Evil is the mortal day.
Call’d of Jesus, learn his will :
Jesus calls from death and night,
Encompass us around;
But now with glory crown'd.
Strive in the Christian race;
Their holy footsteps trace.
Who trod affliction's path ;
Rewarder of our faith:
And mov'd by pitying love,
And now he reigns above.
Press we, to God's right hand !
Triumphantly to stand.

The God whom we adore,
The God whom earth and heav'n adore,
And Spirit, glory be,
And saints on earth adore ;
And saff'ring saints on earth adore;
Be glory in the highest giv'n,
And Spirit, ever bless'd,
It was, is now,
And shall be so
And songs of highest worth,
And all the saints on earth,
To Christ, his only Son,
Supreme o’er earth and heaven,
Be highest glory given,
To God the Father, God the Son,
Ere time had yet its course begun: As was, and is, be highest praise, As still shall be through endless days.
Praise the Son, the Spirit praise,
To the Saviour, Christ, his Son,
Everlasting Three in One:
God the Father, God the Son,
On the same eternal throne:
Of ev'ry degree,
All praise be address'd;
To God in three persons,
One God ever bless'd,
And Spirit, thrice holy and bless'd,
All praise to the Spirit, thrice bless'd, The holy, eternal, supreme Three in One, Was, is, and shall still be address'd.
IV. 4. O FATHER Almighty, to thee be address'd, With Christ and the Spirit, one God ever bless'd, All glory and worship from earth and from heav'n, As was, and is now, and shall ever be giv'n.
For Hymns 145 and 185.
And Spirit ever bless'd,
All worship be address'd:
As throughout the ages past,
While endless ages last.
As was throughout the ages past.
I Whenever the Hymns are used at the celebration of divine service, a certain
portion or portions of the Psalms of David in metre shall also be sung.
