INTRODUCTORY ADDRESS

ΤΟ

YOUNG PERSONS.

REMEMBER THY CREATOR IN THE DAYS OF THY YOUTH, is the serious and solemn advice of one of the wisest men that ever lived. It was directed to young persons, and is an earnest exhortation to dedicate the morning of life to the service of God. The words were spoken by him as flowing from his own experience, and after he had clearly discovered that all besides was vanity. They follow the warnings to a young man, that God would bring him into judgement, if, without the fear of God before him, he heedlessly spent the days of his youth in the ways of his heart, and in the sight of his eyes: and they go before a true, but solemn piece of information, that the evil time will come, and the years draw nigh, when, age having succeeded youth, and infirmities the vigour and health of early days, the melancholy reflection will force itself upon the mind, that they have now no pleasure in those things which once gave them delight.
