O Lord of Hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, Thou art the God, even Thou alone, of all the

kingdoms of the earth: Thou hast made heaven and earth. Incline Thine ear, O Lord, and hear; open Thine eyes, O Lord, and see. Is. xxxvii. 16, 17. For we do not present our supplications before Thee for our righteousnesses, but for Thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for Thine own sake, O my God; for Thy city and Thy people are called by Thy name. Ďan. ix. 18, 19. O Lord, our God, other lords beside Thee have had dominion over us: but by Thee only we will make mention of Thy name. Is. xxvi. 13. Neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in Thee the fatherless findeth mercy. Hosea xiv. 3. Teach me Thy way, O Lord, I will walk in Thy truth, unite my heart to fear Thy name Ps. lxxxvi. 11. Our soul waiteth for the Lord, He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee. Ps. xxxiii. 20-22.
