Lord, by Thy favour Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide Thy face, and I was troubled. I cried to Thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication. Ps. xxx. 7, 8.

Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before Thee, that hath come upon us. Neh. ix. 32.

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress. Ps. iv. 1. Be not far from me; for trouble is near: for there is none to help. Ps. xxii. 11. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring Thou me out of my distresses. Ps. xxv. 17. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in

trouble: For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing. Ps. xxxi. 9, 10.

Hide not Thy face from Thy servant, for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. Ps. lxix. 17. Let my prayer come before Thee incline Thine ear unto my cry. Ps. lxxxviii. 2.

O Lord, be gracious_unto us; we have waited for Thee: be Thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. Is. xxxiii. 2,

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Ps. lx. 11.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye had suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of

my supplications.

Ps. cxxx. 1, 2.

Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips. Let my sentence come forth from Thy presence; let Thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Ps. xvii. 1, 2.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Ps. cxxxix. 23, 24.

Help us, O God, of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name: and deliver us and purge away our sins, for Thy name's sake. Ps. lxxix. 9.

Shew us Thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us Thy salvation. Ps. lxxxv. 7.

Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: Oh, save me for Thy mercies' sake. Ps. vi. 4.

Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver mé because of mine enemies. Ps. lxix. 18. Deliver my soul from the wicked, which is Thy sword. Ps. xvii. 13. O keep my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in Thee. Ps. xxv. 20,

My times are in Thy hand : deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Ps.xxxi.15.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. Ps. xliii. 1. Deliver me from

the workers of iniquity. Ps. lix. 2. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. Ps. Ixxi. 4. Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors for they are stronger than I. Ps. cxlii. 6.

O God, in the multitude of Thy mercy hear me, in the truth of Thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered out of the deep waters. Ps. lxix. 13, 14.

Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not

forget Thy law. Let my supplication come before Thee: deliver me according to Thy word. Ps. cxix. 153, 170. Send Thine hand from above: rid me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children. Ps. cxliv. 7. Deliver me out of all tribulation. 1 Sam. xxvi. 24. Deliver the poor and needy; rid them out of the hand of the wicked. Ps. lxxxii. 4.

Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Ps. xxxii. 7. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that against me. Ps. lv. 18. Thou hast, in love to my soul, delivered it from the pit of corruption. Is. xxxviii. 17.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I will offer to Thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord. Ps. cxvi. 8, 9, 17.

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach for to do them, that you, ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you. Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that He should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that He should commit iniquity. Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. Hearken unto Me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness. Duet. iv. 1. Job xxxiv. 10. Ps. xxxiv. 11. Is. xxxiv. 1. Is. xlvi. 12.

All that Thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever Thou sendest us, we will go. Josh. i. 16.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think have ye eternal life: and they are they And which testify of Me.

receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. John v. 39. James i, 21. Col. iii. 16.

I will never forget Thy precepts: for with them Thou hast quickened me. O how

But as for me, I will come into Thy house in the multitude of Thy mercy and in Thy fear will I worship toward Thy holy temple. We will into His tabernacles: go we will worship at His footstool. All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; and shall glorify Thy name. Ps. v. 7. cxxxii. 7. lxxxvi. 9.
