of the Lord.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace John i. and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Exod.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there and I will xxiv.12 give thee tables of stone, and a law, and coramandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and Duet. judgments, even as the Lord my God com- iv. 5. manded me, that ye should do so in the land

whither ye go to possess it.

God's revelation

And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord.

He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept His testimonies, and the ordinance that He gave them.

He sheweth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His judgments unto Israel.

I have written to him the great things of Hosea my law.

Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

REVEALED TRUTH.

Paul's

For He whom God hath sent speaketh the John words of God; for God giveth not the Spirit

by measure unto Him.

These things have I spoken unto you, being
yet present with you. But the Comforter,

which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
will send in My name, He shall teach
you
all
things, and bring all things to your remem-
brance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the Teaching. world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth. Wholesome words, even the words of our 1 Tim. Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ's The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God revelation gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel to His John who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting Palm. the soul the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

The word of God is not bound.
All Thy commandments are faithful.
testimonies that thou hast commanded are
righteous and very faithful.

Thy testimonies are wonderful.

Thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Concerning Thy testimonies, I have known
of old that Thou hast founded them for ever.
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory
of man as the flower of grass.
The grass
withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.
And this is the word which by the gospel is
preached unto you.

This shall be written for the generation to
to come and the people which shall be created
shall praise the Lord.
