Stocks and Stones, of dead Men and Women, had certainly better not Worship them, which is the most certain way not to make them Gods; and those who think it fuch damnable Idolatry to Worship a Breaden God, in my Opinion, are on the fafer fide not to Worship the visible Species of Bread in the Eucharift. Let but our Proteftant obferve this, That when they would Reprefent Popery most favourably, they either fay what Protestants do, or fomething as like it, as they can, and he will fee no reafon, either to change his Faith or his Practice.
