The Woman, who after childbirth defires to come to Chuch to give God thanks, and receive the Prief's

bleffing, kneels down at the Church-door with a lighted taper in her band, and the Prieft fprinkles her with holy water, faying:

Then Sprinkling the fick perfon, the bed, room, and all prefent, he fays the Anthem, Thou shalt fprinkle. Then he exhorts the fick perfon to confef fion. After which he fays:

Pr. Dear brother, [or fifter] if the Lord be fo good as to restore you to health, do you not purpofe to avoid fin with all your might, and keep his commandments to the beft of your power? A. I do purpofe it.

V. Our help is in the name of the Lord. R. Who made both heaven and earth. V. May the Lord be with you. And with thy fpirit.

Difplay the power of thy name in our behalf, and give a bleffing to what we do: fanctify the entrance of us thy humble fervants, Thou who art holy and merciful, and remaineft with the Father and Holy Ghoft world without end.
