At the MAGNIFICAT. Anth. The Lord hath fanctified his tabernacle: for this is the house of God, in which his name fhall be invoked; of which it is written: And my name fhall be there, faith the Lord.

Ant. Sanctificavit Dominus tabernaculum fuum: quia hæc eft domus Dei, in quâ invocabitur nomen ejus; de quâ fcriptum eft: Et erit nomen meum ibi, dicit Dominus.

COLLECT. Deus, qui nobis. God, who reneweft every year the day of the confeciation of this thy holy temple; and bringeft us always in health to the celebrating thefe facred mysteries: hear the prayers of thy people, and grant, that whofoever shall come hither to afk any bleffing of thee, may rejoice in the obtaining all his requests. Thro'.

LESSON. Rev. xxi. 2, 5. IN thofe days: I faw the holy city, the new ferufalem, coming down from heaven, from God,,

prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband. * And I heard a great voice from the throne, faying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell-with them. And they fhall be his people, and God himself with them will be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death fhall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor forrow fhall be any more, for the first state is paffed away. And he that fat on the throne, faid: Behold I make all things new.

GRADUAL. This place was made by God, a mystery above all value; it is without reproof. V. O God, on whom quires of Angels attend, hear the prayers of thy fervants.

TRACT. They, who trust in the Lord, are like mount Sion: he, that dwells in Jerufalem, fhall never be moved. V. It is furrounded by mountains: and the Lord himfelfencompaffeth his people both now and for ever.

OFFERTORY. Lord God, in the fimplicity of my heart have I joyfully offered all thefe things and I have feen with great joy thy people, which are here prefent. O God of Ifrael, preferve them for ever in this difpofition.

tion [that all of us, who are present in this church, of whofe confecration we celebrate the anniversary feaft, may pleafe thee by a full and perfect devotion of body and mind:] that whilft we offer thee thefe our vows, we may, by thy help, obtain an eternal reward. Thro'.

My houfe fhall be called the houfe of prayer, faith the Lord in it

whosoever afketh, receiveth, and he who feeketh, find th: and the door fhall be opened to him that knocketh.

POSTCOMMUNION. Deus, qui de vivis. God, who, out of living and choice ftones, prepareft to thy majefty an eternal abode, help thy people at their prayers; that as thy Church is corporally, fo it may be fpiritually, increafed. Thro'. II. VES PERS.

yet, for the falvation of man, vifibly manifefteft the figns of thy power: make this Temple famous by the majefty of thy abode therein: and grant, that all who meet here to pray. may obtain the bleffings of thy comfort, in whatever tribulation they have recourfe to thee. Thro',

SECRET.

God, the author of the gifts which are to be confecrated to thee, pour thy bleffing on this house of prayer, that all who call on thy name in it, may find the help of thy protection. Thro'.

TE beseech thee, O Almighty God, merci

ET thy holy fpirit, we beseech thee, O Lord our God, defcend upon this Altar, both to fanctify the offerings of thy people, and to purify the hearts of those that receive them. Thro'.

POSTCOMMUNION. Omnipotens. Almighty and eternal God, fanctify, by the virtue of thy heavenly bleffing, this Altar, confecrated to thy name; and grant thy help to all who hope in thee; that we may receive here the efficacy of thy facraments, and the effects of our prayers. Thro'.
