Hen Mary the Mother of Jefus was efpouf ed to Jofeph, before they came together, fhe was found with child by the Holy Ghoft. And Jofeph her husband being a righteous man, and unwilling to expofe her, thought fecretly to difmifs her. But while he was thinking on thefe things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in his fleep, faying: Jofeph, son of David, fear not to take Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghoft. And fhe fhall bring forth a fon, and thou fhalt call his name Jefus : for he fhail fave his people from their fins.

PSALMS, as in the firft VESPERS, p. 216. Anth.HE parents Ant. Bant parentes of Jefus went every year to Jerufalem, on the folemn feaft of the Paffover.

Anth. When they returned, the child Jefus remained in Jerufalem, and his parents did not know it.

Anth. They not finding Jefus, returned back to Jerufalem, feeking him and after three days they found him fitting in the temple in the midst of the Doctors, hearing them, and afking them queftions.

Anth. His mother faid to him: Son, why haft thou done fo to us? Behold thy father and I have fought thee with forrow. Anth. Jefus went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was fubject to them.
