This work, which has engaged the Authors for several years, comprises nearly a thousand families, many of them amongst the most ancient and eminent in the kingdom, each carried down to its representative or representatives still existing, with elaborate and minute details of the alliances, achievements, and fortunes, generation after generation, from the earliest to the latest period. The work is printed to correspond precisely with the last edition of Mr. Burke's Dictionary of the Existing Peerage and Baronetage: the armorial bearings are engraven in the best style, and are incorporated with the text as in that work.

It ought to be placed on the shelves of every public Library and Reading Room. The price is considerably less than first cost, and it will not be reprinted.
