The report of the Committee on Women's Work was read and adopted. It is as follows:

REPORT ON WOMEN'S WORK.

Having considered carefully the report of the Women's General Missionary Society to this General Assembly, we find therein nothing to criticise, but much to praise. The succinct statement the report contains of the work they have accomplished during the year indicates increasing contributions to their work, an increase in the number of the societies and presbyterial associations. a wise business management, zeal and devotion. In studying the report of the Women's Society we cannot fail to be impressed with the width of the services it is rendering. Not only have the Boards, Foreign, Home, Church Extension, etc., been aided with large contributions from their treasury, but also a large number of the workers in both the home and foreign fields have been directly sustained by them. In addition to these things, carried on under the management of the Women's Board, the benefactions of the women of our Church have also stretched out to the Orphans' and Aged People's Homes, and to hospitals for the sick. Even this summary far from perfectly exhibits the full extent of our women's work through their Board. Their report should be read in all of the families of our Church. We recommend the adoption of the following resolutions:

I. That the report of the Women's General Missionary Society be adopted.

2. That the General Assembly hereby expresses its hearty approval and appreciation of the society's work.

3. That this Assembly expresses the wish and hope that soon all the women of our churches be found in active connection with our Women's Missionary Societies.
