Praise GOD, from Whom all blessing flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, angelic host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

(From "Seed-time and Harvest," No. 13.) WEST.

JEREMIAH V. 24. Let us now fear the LORD our GOD, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: He reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

PSALM Xxxi. 21. O how plentiful is Thy goodness which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee, and that Thou hast prepared for them that put their trust in Thee, even before the sons of men!

JEREMIAH V. 24. Let us now fear the Lord.

PSALM CXi. 5. He hath given meat unto them that fear Him He shall ever be mindful of His covenant.

Therefore unto Him we raise
Hymns of glory, songs of praise;
To the FATHER, and the SON,
And the Spirit, Three in One,
Honour, might, and glory be

Now, and through eternity. Amen.

PSALM CXlV. 21. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh give thanks unto His Holy Name for ever and ever.

15. The eyes of all wait upon Thee, O LORD; and Thou givest them their meat in due season.

16. Thou openest Thine hand, and fillest all things living with plenteousness.

21. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh give thanks unto His Holy Name for ever and ever. Hallelujah. Amen.

PSALM CXV. 1. Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy Name give the praise for Thy loving mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.

2. Wherefore shall the heathen say: Where is now their GOD?

3. As for our GOD, He is in heaven: He hath done whatsoever pleased Him.

4. Their idols are silver and gold: even the work of men's hands.

5. They have mouths, and speak not: eyes have they, and see not.

6. They have ears, and hear not: noses have they, and smell not.

7. They have hands, and handle not; feet have they, and walk not: neither speak they through their throat. 8. They that make them are like unto them and so are all such as put their trust in them.

9. But thou house of Israel, trust thou in the LORD: He is their succour and defence.

10. Ye house of Aaron, put your trust in the LORD: He is their helper and defender.

II. Ye that fear the LORD, put your trust in the LORD: He is their helper and defender.

17. The dead praise not Thee, O LORD: neither all they that go down into silence.

18. But we will praise the LORD from this time forth for evermore. Praise the LORD.

I CORINTHIANS XV. 20. Now is CHRIST risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept.

21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22. For as in Adam all die, even so in CHRIST shall all be made alive.

57. Thanks be to GOD, Which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56. The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

57. But thanks be to GOD, Which giveth us the victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Hallelujah! Amen. WEST.

1895 T. ADAMS, VV. 20, 21. Alleluia.

O come, Redeemer of mankind, appear,

Thee with full hearts the Virgin-born we greet;
Let every age with rapt amazement hear

That wondrous birth which for our GOD is meet.

How doth Thy lowly manger radiant shine!

On the sweet breath of night new splendour grows; So may our spirits glow with faith Divine,

Where no dark cloud of sin shall interpose.

All praise and glory to the Father be,
All praise and glory to His only Son,

All praise and glory, Holy Ghost, to Thee,
Both now, and while eternal ages run.

1897

Amen.

THE COLLECT FOR THE ANNUNCIATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.

We beseech Thee, O LORD, pour Thy grace into our hearts; that, as we have known the incarnation of Thy Son JESUS CHRIST by the message of an angel, so by His cross and passion we may be brought unto the glory of His resurrection; through the same JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen.

With all Thy hosts, O LORD, we sing,
And thanks and praise to Thee we bring;
For Thou, O long-expected Guest,
Hast come at length to make us blest.

ISAIAH XXV. 9. Lo, this is our GOD; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: This is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. PSALM 1XXXV. 9. For His salvation is nigh them that fear Him that glory may dwell in our land.

10. Mercy and truth are met together: righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

II. Truth shall flourish out of the earth: and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

ISAIAH XXV. 9. This is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

ST. LUKE i. 68. Blessed be the LORD GOD of Israel: for He hath visited and redeemed His people. Amen.

My God, I love Thee; not because

I hope for heaven thereby,

Nor yet because who love Thee not
Are lost eternally.

Thou, O my JESUS, Thou didst me
Upon the Cross embrace;

For me didst bear the nails, and spear,

And manifold disgrace,

And griefs and torments numberless,

And sweat of agony;

Yea, death itself; and all for me
Who was Thine enemy.

Then why, O Blessed JESU CHRIST,
Should I not love Thee well?

Not for the sake of winning heaven,
Nor of escaping hell;

Not from the hope of gaining aught,
Not seeking a reward;

But as Thyself hast loved me,
O ever-loving LORD.

So would I love Thee, dearest LORD,
And in Thy praise will sing;
Solely because Thou art my GOD,
And my most loving King. Amen.

On the morn of Easter day,
From the tomb wherein He lay,
CHRIST Our Hope rose gloriously;
Trampling down th'infernal king,
Hell and Satan vanquishing,
He return'd victoriously.

When the risen LORD was seen,
Blessed Mary Magdalene

Was the herald whom He chose :
On the glorious errand sent,
To His brethren straight she went,
Bearing joy to end their woes.

O thrice blessed eyes, that first,
When the chains of death were burst,
Sin destroyed and Satan quell'd,
CHRIST, the King of all, beheld!

This was she who was of old
Lost in sin so manifold,
But, at JESU's feet, obtain'd
Grace to pardon all that stain'd.

Lips deploring, heart adoring,
Are the proving of her loving
JESU more than all the rest;
Whom she worshipp'd, fully knowing
She receiv'd from His bestowing
Pardon for her troubled breast.

Marys twain, with news of gladness,
Freed the Church of GOD from sadness;
One was the Virgin Mother, one
The Saint whom sin had once undone.

One the gate, whereby salvation

Enter'd in for every nation;

And one the herald, sent to tell

That CHRIST had ris'n, and vanquish'd hell.
