Praise, O praise our God and King,
Hymns of adoration sing;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Praise Him that He made the sun
Day by day his course to run;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And the silver moon by night,
Shining with her gentle light;

For His mercies still endure

Ever faithful, ever sure.
Praise Him that He gave the rain
To mature the swelling grain ;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And hath bid the fruitful field
Crops of precious increase yield;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Praise Him for our harvest-store,
He hath filled the garner-floor;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And for richer Food than this,
Pledge of everlasting bliss ;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Glory to our bounteous King;
Glory let creation sing,

Glory to the FATHER, Son,
And blest SPIRIT, Three in One. Amen.

E. V. HALL.

The Day of Resurrection!

Earth, tell it out abroad;
The Passover of gladness,

The Passover of GOD!
From death to life eternal,

From earth unto the sky,
Our Christ hath brought us over

With hymns of victory.
Our hearts be pure from evil,

That we may see aright
The Lord in rays eternal

Of resurrection-light;
And, listening to His accents,

May hear so calm and plain
His own “ All hail," and, hearing,

May raise the victor strain.
Now let the heavens be joyful,

And earth her song begin,
The round world keep high triumph,

And all that is therein ;

Let all things seen and unseen

Their notes of gladness blend,
For Christ the LORD is risen,
Our Joy that hath no end. Amen.

E. V. HALL.

1696 PSALM cxviii. 24. This is the day which the LORD hath made : we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I CORINTHIANS xv. 20. For now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first-fruits of them that slept.

21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22. For as in Adam all die, even so in CHRIST shall all be made alive.

PSALM cxviii. 24. This is the day which the LORD hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.

JESUS CHRIST is risen to-day, Alleluia !
Our triumphant holy day,

Alleluia !
Who did once, upon the Cross, Alleluia !
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia ! Amen.

1697 Psalm lxv. 1. Thou, O God, art praised in Sion : and unto Thee shall the vow be performed in Jerusalem.

2. Thou that hearest the prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come.

9. Thou visitest the earth, and blessest it: Thou makest it very plenteous.

10. Thou preparest their corn, for so Thou providest for the earth.

1. Thou, O God, art praised in Sion : and unto Thee shall the vow be performed in Jerusalem.

Come, ye thankful people, come,
Raise the song of Harvest-home;
All is safely gathered in,
Ere the winter storms begin ;
God, our Maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied ;
Come to God's own Temple, come ;
Raise the song of Harvest-home. Amen.

When God of old came down from heaven,

In power and wrath He came;
Before His feet the clouds were riven,

Half darkness and half flame :
But, when He came the second time,

He came in power and love ;
Softer than gale at morning prime

Hovered His holy Dove.
The fires, that rushed on Sinai down

In sudden torrents dread,
Now gently light, a glorious crown,

On every sainted head.
And as on Israel's awe-struck ear

The voice exceeding loud,
The trump, that angels quake to hear,

Thrilled from the deep, dark cloud ;
So when the Spirit of our GOD

Came down His flock to find,
A voice from heaven was heard abroad,

A rushing, mighty wind.
It fills the Church of God; It fills

The sinful world around;
Only in stubborn hearts and wills

No place for It is found.
Come LORD, come Wisdom, Love, and Power,

Open our ears to hear;
Let us not miss the accepted hour;
Save, LORD, by love or fear. Amen.

1699 RevelATION v. 12. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

xix. 1. Alleluia ; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the LORD our God.

7. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him, (vii. 10.) saying, Salvation to our GOD which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

xvii. 14. And they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

vii. 16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters : and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

xix. I. Alleluia ; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the LORD our God. Amen.

1700 1 St. John iv. 7. Beloved, let us love one another : for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of GOD, and knoweth God.

16. God is love ; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1701 REVELATION i. 10. I heard a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.

12. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me.

17. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last :

18. I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore. Alleluia! Hosanna in the highest. Amen.
