Christians, on this happy day,
Haste with joy your vows to pay;
"CHRIST is risen," to-day we cry;
Now He lives no more to die.

CHRIST, Who once for sinners bled,
Now the first-born from the dead,
Throned in endless might and power,
Lives and reigns for evermore.
Hail, Eternal Hope on high!
Hail, Thou King of victory!
Hail, Thou Prince of Life adored!
Help and save us, gracious LORD.
Hallelujah. Amen.

E. V. HALL.

Come, ye faithful, raise the anthem,
Cleave the skies with shouts of praise;
Sing to Him Who found the ransom,
Ancient of eternal days,

GOD of GOD, the WORD Incarnate,
Whom the heaven of heaven obeys.
Ere He raised the mighty mountains,
Formed the seas, or built the sky,
Love eternal, free, and boundless,
Moved the LORD of Life to die,
Fore-ordained the Prince of princes
For the throne of Calvary.
There, for us and our redemption,
See Him all His Life-blood pour!
There He wins our full salvation,
Dies that we may die no more;
Then, arising, lives for ever,

Reigning where He was before.

Bring your harps, and bring your odours,
Sweep the string and pour the lay;
Let the earth proclaim His praises,

King of that celestial day;

He the LAMB once slain is worthy,

Who was dead, and lives for aye.

Hallelujah. Amen. E. V. HALL.

Hark the glad sound! the SAVIOUR Comes,
The SAVIOUR promised long;
Let every heart prepare a throne,
And every voice a song.

He comes, the prisoners to release
In Satan's bondage held;

The gates of brass before him burst,
The iron fetters yield.

He comes, the broken heart to bind,
The bleeding soul to cure,

And with the treasures of His grace
To bless the humble poor.

Our glad hosannas, Prince of peace,
Thy welcome shall proclaim;
And heaven's eternal arches ring
With Thy belovèd Name. Amen.

E. V. HALL.

O worship the King All-glorious above;
O gratefully sing His power and His love;
Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of days,
Pavilioned in splendour, and girded with praise.

O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy space;
His chariots of wrath the deep thunder clouds form,
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.

The earth with its store of wonders untold,
Almighty, Thy power hath founded of old;
Hath stablished it fast by a changeless decree,
And round it hath cast, like a mantle, the sea.

Thy bountiful care what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
And sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail;
Thy mercies how tender! how firm to the end!
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

O measureless Might, ineffable Love!
While angels delight to hymn Thee above,
Thy ransomed creation, though feeble their lays,
With true adoration shall sing to Thy praise. Amen.
E. V. HALL.

Praise, O praise our GoD and King,
Hymns of adoration sing;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Praise Him that He made the sun

Day by day his course to run ;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And the silver moon by night,
Shining with her gentle light;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Praise Him that He gave the rain
To mature the swelling grain ;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And hath bid the fruitful field
Crops of precious increase yield;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Praise Him for our harvest-store,
He hath filled the garner-floor;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure;

And for richer Food than this,
Pledge of everlasting bliss;
For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Glory to our bounteous King;
Glory let creation sing,

Glory to the FATHER, SON,

And blest SPIRIT, Three in One. Amen.

E. V. HALL.

PSALM 1xxxi. 1. Sing we merrily to GOD our strength : make a cheerful noise to the GOD of Jacob.

2. Take the psalm, bring hither the tabret: the merry harp with the lute.

3. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon: even in the time appointed, and upon our solemn feast-day.

1. Sing we merrily to GOD our strength: make a cheerful noise to the GOD of Jacob.

Praise, O praise our GOD and King;

Hymns of adoration sing;

For His mercies still endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Glory to the FATHER, SON,

And blest SPIRIT, Three in One.
Hallelujah. Amen.

The Day of Resurrection!
Earth, tell it out abroad;
The Passover of gladness,
The Passover of GOD!
From death to life eternal,

E. V. HALL.

From earth unto the sky,
Our CHRIST hath brought us over
With hymns of victory.
Our hearts be pure from evil,
That we may see aright
The LORD in rays eternal
Of resurrection-light;

And, listening to His accents,
May hear so calm and plain
His own "All hail," and, hearing,
May raise the victor strain.
Now let the heavens be joyful,
And earth her song begin,
The round world keep high triumph,
And all that is therein;
