PSALM CXviii. 19. Open ye me the gates of righteousness, that I may go into them and give thanks unto the LORD. 20. This is the gate of the LORD, the righteous shall enter into it.

ZECHARIAH ii. 10. For thus saith the LORD, I will dwell in the midst of thee for ever.

ISAIAH lx. 9. Surely the isles shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring their sons from far, their silver and gold with them, unto the Name of the LORD your GOD, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He hath glorified thee.

10. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee; for in My wrath I smote thee, but in My favour I will have mercy upon thee.

lxii. 6. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace, day or night. Ye, that make mention of the LORD, keep not still silence. I KINGS ix. 3. Mine eyes and Mine heart shall be there perpetually.

PSALM CXviii. 20. This is the gate of the Lord, the righteous shall enter into it.

PSALM xliii. 4. I will go unto the Altar of God, even the GOD of my joy and gladness.

cxvi. 15. I will offer to Thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the Name of the LORD.

12. I will receive the cup of salvation, and call upon the Name of the LORD.

* O blest memorial of our dying LORD,
Who living bread to men doth here afford;
O may our souls for ever feed on Thee,
And Thou, O CHRIST, for ever precious be.
O CHRIST, Whom now beneath a veil we see,
May what we thirst for soon our portion be;
To gaze on Thee, unveiled, and see Thy Face,
The vision of Thy glory and Thy grace.
Amen.*

O for a closer walk with GOD,
A calm and heavenly frame;
A light to shine upon the road
That leads me to the Lamb.

What peaceful hours I once enjoyed:
How sweet their memory still:
But they have left an aching void
The world can never fill.

Return, O Holy Dove, return,
Sweet messenger of rest:

I hate the sins that made Thee mourn,
And drove Thee from my breast.

The dearest idol I have known,

Whate'er that idol be,

Help me to tear it from Thy Throne,
And worship only Thee.

So shall my walk be close with GOD,
Calm and serene my frame;

So purer light shall mark the road
That leads me to the Lamb.

Amen.

ST. JOHN xiv. 27. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

xvi. 6. Because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

33. Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

King! King! lo, we adore Thee,

Raising the song of Thy triumph before Thee,

Lord Divine.

Fled are the shadows that circled Thy dying,
Past are the pangs of the scorn and denying.
Glory be Thine.

King! King! ever Thou hearest,

Veiled from our eyes, yet we know Thou art nearest,
Through the long day.

Hear Thou the voice of our glad supplication,
Come, Thou Bestower of life and salvation,

Humbly we pray.

DANIEL Xii. I. At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of Thy people and at that time Thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the Book.

3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

MALACHI iii. 17. And they shall be Mine, saith the LORD of Hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels.

King of Saints, to Whom the number
Of Thy starry host is known,

Many a name, by man forgotten,

Lives for ever round Thy Throne.
There are told Thy hidden treasures;
Number us, O LORD, with them,
When Thou makest up the jewels
Of Thy living diadem. Amen.

REVELATION vi. 9. I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God.

10. And they cried with a loud voice, How long, O LORD, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

II. And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren should be fulfilled.

From the Burial Service. Almighty God, with Whom the souls of the faithful are in joy and felicity, we give Thee hearty thanks, for that it hath pleased Thee to deliver these our brethren out of the miseries of this sinful world, beseeching Thee that it would please Thee shortly to accomplish the number of Thine elect, and to hasten Thy Kingdom; that we, with all those that are departed in the true faith of Thy holy Name, may have our perfect consummation and bliss, in Thy eternal and everlasting glory.
