PSALM XXXiii. 1. Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous, for it becometh well the just to be thankful.

2. Praise the LORD with harp, sing praises unto Him with the lute, and instrument of ten strings.

AMOS V. 8. Seek Him Who maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night.

*Save us, O LORD, while waking, and defend us while sleeping, that when we are awake we may watch with CHRIST, and when we sleep we may rest in peace.*

O may my soul on Thee repose,

PSALM XCI. 1. Whoso dwelleth under the defence of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2. I will say unto the LORD, Thou art my hope and my stronghold, my GOD, in Him will I trust.

4. He shall defend thee under His wings, and thou shalt be safe under His feathers; His faithfulness and truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

PSALM XXXVII. 35. Hope thou in the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall promote thee, that thou shalt possess the land. When the ungodly shall perish, thou shalt see it.

36. I myself have seen the ungodly in great power, and flourishing like a green bay-tree.

37. I went by, and lo he was gone: I sought him, but his place could nowhere be found.

38. Keep innocency, and take heed to the thing that is right for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

[39. As for the transgressors, they shall perish together; and the end of the ungodly is, they shall be rooted out. 40. But the salvation of the righteous cometh of the LORD, Who is also their strength in the time of trouble. 41. And the LORD shall stand by them, and save them, He shall deliver them from the ungodly, because they put their trust in Him.]

PSALM XCII.

I. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto Thy Name, O [Thou] Most Highest ;

2. To tell of Thy loving-kindness early in the morning, and of Thy truth in the night season;

3. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the lute; upon a loud instrument, and upon the harp.

4. For Thou, LORD, hast made me glad through Thy works: and I will rejoice in giving praise for the operation of Thy hands.

5. O LORD, how glorious are Thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep.

[6. An unwise man doth not well consider this, and a fool doth not understand it.]

cii. 25. Of old Thou hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.

26. They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure; they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
