The Hosts of Heaven upraise to GOD
A joyful song of praise.

To Thee my will resigning,
To Thee all cares consigning,
My God, I will outpour

Sweet praise in hours of gladness,
E'en too in hours of sadness,

Until life's changing scenes be o'er.

Before I was in being,

Thy love and power, all-seeing,
Encompassed me around.

Thy constant love has sought me
And peace and gladness brought me
Where I but pain and sorrow found.

PSALM CXVI. 5. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous: yea, our GOD is merciful.

6. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me.

7. Return unto thy rest, O my soul, for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

5. Gracious is the LORD and righteous; yea, our God is

merciful. Amen.

*ISAIAH xl. 9. Alleluia. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your GOD! Alleluia. Amen.*

O that Birth, for ever blessed,

When the Virgin, full of grace,
By the HOLY GHOST conceiving,
Bare the Saviour of our race,

* Sometimes sung as a separate Anthem.

And the Babe, the world's Redeemer,
First revealed His sacred Face,
Evermore and evermore.

Of the Father's Love begotten
Ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega,

He the Source, the ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see,

Evermore and evermore.

EXODUS XX. 18. And all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed and stood afar off.

19. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear but let not GOD speak with us, lest we die.

When GOD of old came down from Heaven,

In power and wrath He came;
Before His feet the clouds were riven,

Half darkness and half flame.

But when He came the second time,
He came in power and love;
Softer than gale at morning prime,
Hovered His holy Dove. Amen.

I JOHN iv. 7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of GOD; and every one that loveth is born of GOD, and every one that loveth knoweth GOD.

12. If we love one another, GOD dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us.

Come, LORD, come, Wisdom, Love, and Power,

Open our ears to hear;

Let us not miss the accepted hour,

Save. LORD, by love or fear. Amen.

ISAIAH lii. 1. Awake, awake! put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come unto thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

2. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

1. Awake, awake! put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments. Awake, awake!

*7. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, thy GOD reigneth!*

8. Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing, for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.

9. Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem for the LORD hath comforted His people, He hath redeemed Jerusalem.

10. The LORD hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the world have seen the salvation of our God.

9. Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem. Hallelujah. Amen.

Sometimes sung as a separate Anthem.

ISAIAH liv. 7. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

8. In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy upon thee.

ISAIAH xlv. 8. Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring forth together.

ST. LUKE i. 28. Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the LORD is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. 31. Behold, thou shalt conceive and bring forth a Son, and shall call His Name JESUS.

32. He shall be great, and shall be called The Son of the Highest ;

33. And of His Kingdom there shall be no end.

PSALM xlv. 2. Thou art fairer than the children of men, full of grace are thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for ever.

Amen.

What are these

REVELATION vii. 13. Hallelujah.

which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14. These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb.

15. Therefore are they before the Throne of GOD, and serve Him day and night in His temple: [and He that sitteth on the Throne shall dwell among them.]

16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17. For the Lamb Which is in the midst of the Throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and GOD shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. STAINER.

EPHESIANS iv. 30. Grieve not the Holy Spirit of GOD, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. 32. And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as GOD for CHRIST's sake hath forgiven you.

ST. MATTHEW xxi. 9. Hosanna in the highest.

ISAIAH lxiii. 1. Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? This that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

2. Wherefore art Thou red in Thine apparel, and Thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

3. I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with Me: I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury.

4. For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come.

And when as Judge Thou drawest nigh,

The secrets of all hearts to try;
When sinners meet their awful doom,
And saints attain their heavenly home;
O let us not, for evil past,

Be driven from Thy face at last;
But with the blessed evermore

Behold Thee, love Thee, and adore.

Amen.
