I saw a documentary about the Jefferson Bible on TV several years ago. It was unknown to me until then and I was fascinated by the thought that someone had created a Bible in which the supernatural and the "hocus-pocus" were removed. To this end, Thomas Jefferson took Bibles in Greek, Latin, French and English, cut out the passages he didn't require and rearranged the remaining text for the Jefferson Bible. I saw various English versions and noticed that they differed in page numbering and in particular ways. I tried to follow Thomas Jefferson's original and took the corresponding passages from the Jefferson Bible held in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History . The Bible is not divided into chapter for that reason. Furthermore, I tried to use the contents of the Jefferson Bible as accurately as possible. In this version the "good" Samaritan is not mentioned. Only the word "Samaritan" is used.http://jefferson-bibel.de
