Resolved: That the following changes and additions be made in connection with THE COLLECTS, EPISTLES, AND GOSPELS, TO BE USED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, and that the proposed changes and addi- (a) Insert after the general title, the B. A. The Collect, Epistle, and Gospel, appointed 72 (b) After the Gospel for Christmas-day, Or the Collect, Epistle, and Gospel that follow 80 together with the following Collect, Epistle, The Collect. GOD, who makest us glad with the yearly remembrance of the birth of thine only Son Jesus Christ; Grant that as we joyfully receive him for our Redeemer, so we may with sure confidence behold him, when he shall come to be our Judge, who liveth and reigneth, with S. B. thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world B. A. without end. Amen. The Epistle. Heb. ii. 14. FORASMUCH then as the children are par takers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
