Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses; As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

SATURDAY EVENING.-THIRD WEEK.

SING

PSALM LXXXI.

ING we merrily unto God our strength; make a cheerful noise unto the God of Jacob.

Take the psalm, bring hither the tabret; the merry harp with the lute.

Blow up the trumpet in the new-moon; even in the time appointed, and upon our solemn feast-day.

For this was made a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he came out of the land of Egypt, and had heard a strange language.

I eased his shoulder from the burden, and his hands were delivered from making the pots.

Thou calledst upon me in troubles, and I delivered thee; and heard thee what time as the storm fell upon thee.

I proved thee also at the waters of strife.

Hear, O my people, and I will assure thee, O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me.

There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any other god.

I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt; open thy mouth wide, and I shall fill it.

But my people would not hear my voice, and Israel would not obey me.

So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lusts, and let them follow their own imaginations.

O that my people would have hearkened unto me; for if Israel had walked in my ways,

I should soon have put down their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

The haters of the Lord should have been found liars; but their time should have endured for ever.

He should have fed them also with the finest wheat-flour; and with honey out of the stony rock should I have satisfied thee.

Let us pray.

Lord have mercy upon us.

Christ have mercy upon us.
Lord have mercy upon us.

OUR FATHER which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Amen.

O ETERNAL AND EVERLIVING GOD, Who hast permitted us to complete another week of life upon earth, help us to come into Thy Presence heartily thankful for all Thy mercies. Spared while others have been cut off, bending in holy worship when others are prostrated by sickness and pain, we lift our hearts and voices in thanks and praise to Thee. May our lengthened lives be filled with fruits of righteousness. We offer and present unto Thee, O Lord, our souls and bodies,

beseeching Thee to accept us, and permit all our powers to be employed in Thy service. Pardoned and at peace with God and man, and given up to Thy Supreme Will, may we close this week, and, in Thy good time, may life itself so close; through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our Lord. Amen.

WE yield Thee hearty thanks, most merciful Father, that it hath pleased Thee to call us to a new life in Christ, and to incorporate us into Thy holy Church. And humbly we beseech Thee to grant, that we being dead unto sin and living unto righteousness, and being buried with Christ in His death, may crucify the old man, and utterly abolish the whole body. of sin; and that as we are made partakers of the death of Thy Son, we may also be partakers of His resurrection so that finally, with the residue of Thy Holy Church, we may be inheritors of Thine everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O LORD JESU CHRIST, Who at Thy first coming didst send Thy messenger to prepare Thy way before Thee, grant that the ministers and stewards of Thy mysteries may likewise so prepare and make ready Thy way, by turning the hearts of the disobedient unto the wisdom of the just, that at Thy second coming to judge the world we may be found an acceptable people in Thy sight, Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Spirit ever one God, world without end. Amen.

THE grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.

PSALM XCVI.

SING unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord, all the whole earth.

Sing unto the Lord, and praise his Name; be telling of his salvation from day to day.

Declare his honour unto the heathen, and his wonders unto all people.

For the Lord is great, and cannot worthily be praised; he is more to be feared than all gods.

As for all the gods of the heathen, they are but idols, but it is the Lord that made the heavens.

Glory and worship are before him, power and honour are in his sanctuary.

Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, ascribe unto the Lord worship and power.

Ascribe unto the Lord the honour due unto his Name; bring presents, and come into his courts.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; let the whole earth stand in awe of him.

Tell it out among the heathen that the Lord is King, and that it is he who hath made the round world so fast that it cannot be moved; and how that he shall judge the people righteously.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad : let the sea make a noise, and all that therein is.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it; then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord.

For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth; and with righteousness to judge the world, and the people with his truth.

Let us pray.

GRANT, we beseech Thee, merciful Lord, to Thy faithful people, pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins and serve Thee with a quiet mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ALMIGHTY AND EVERLASTING GOD, Who of Thy tender love towards mankind hast sent Thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, to take upon Him our flesh, and to suffer death upon the Cross, that all mankind should follow the example of His great humility; mercifully grant that we may both follow the example of His patience, and also be made partakers of His resurrection; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O LORD GOD, Who graciously permittest us to see another of Thy Holy Days, help us gratefully to welcome its light, and prepare ourselves to profit by its privileges. May our thoughts rise to a due estimate of the meaning and worth of this Thy ordinance for our good. Bid the tumult of our earthly cares and passions be hushed, and fix our heart and mind on heavenly things. Waiting truly upon God, may our souls find of Him strength and salvation; through Jesus Christ our Mediator and Advocate. Amen.

O ALMIGHTY GOD, Who hast given Thy only Son to be the life of men, feed, we pray Thee, with this living Bread the hungry multitudes who will this day look trustingly to Thee. Nourish all true souls, and make them grow in grace. Recall the wanderers from truth into right ways, and bring the weary and worn to rest and peace. Mercifully hear when Thy people pray, accompany the preaching of Thy word with Divine power, and make Thy Name to be glorified; through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

O ALMIGHTY GOD, Who, into the place of the traitor Judas,
