It was supposed that copies did not exist of " Pagan Poems with the titlepage, which was cancelled by the prospective publisher when he withdrew from the undertaking and delivered the mutilated books to the author, but a few advance copies with the title-page escaped into circulation. is evidently one of these copies, and at a recent date the author has written on the title-page that it is "something that does not exist."
