NINETEENTH REPORT

OF THE

SUNDAY SCHOOL SOCIETY

FOR IRELAND,

ORDERED TO BE PRINTED BY THE SOCIETY,

AT THEIR

ANNUAL MEETING, HELD IN THE ROTUNDA, Dublin,

On the 8th of April, 1829.

DURING the period which has elapsed since the formation of your Society, it has generally been the privilege of the Committee for each succeeding year to meet the subscribers in the language of congratulation. The growing prosperity of your cause inspired your Committees with the confidence arising from the consideration of past success, and encouraged them to press forward with cheerfulness and hope, to the animating prospects of more extensive usefulness. And when we contemplate the number of individuals of every rank, age and occupation, who, in the absence of such inducements as ordinarily constitute the moving principle of human action, co-operate in forwarding the interests. of your Society, we cannot but ascribe its progressive advancement to Him, who is able for the fulfilment of his own purposes, to unite the hearts of a multitude as the heart of one man.

Your Committee have to acknowledge, with gratitude to the Most High, the continued blessing which He has vouchsafed to your Society during the past year, as it will appear from the following statements, that the general tenor of its prosperity has experienced no interruption.
