When the Spirit Comes: Christian Revivals Around the World

Front Cover
Multiply Publications, 2000 - 55 pages
This booklet attempts to explore some of the underlying themes traceable in historical revivals, with examples from many places and ages.

The trouble is, the Church can continue perfectly well in the mechanics of its weekly routine! At least for a time. But, sooner or later, those who truly love the Lord find the burden of their dryness and fruitless becomes intolerable. The ‘howling wilderness’ becomes a place of tears and cries to God. The return of His presence and power becomes an all-consuming hunger.

May God revive us.
