and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

IV. Deliverance from WAR and ENEMIES.
Deut. xx. 4. The LORD your God Deliverance is he that goeth with you, to fight for from War. you against your enemies, to five you,
Deut. xxiii. 14. Job. v. 20. In war he shall redeem thee from the power of the sword.
Pf. lx. 12. Through God we shall do valiantly ; for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
2 Chron. xiii. 12. Behold GOD himself is with us for our captain.
Prov. iii. 25. Be not afraid of sudden fear, nor of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Ver. 26. For the LORD thall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
If. xli. 11. Behold all they that were incensed against thee, shall be ashamed and confounded : they
Thall be as nothing, and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Ver. 12. Thor: Thall seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee. They that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
Fer. xxxii. 17. I will deliver thee in that day, faith the Lord, and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
Ver. 18. For I will furely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword ; but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee, because thou hast put thy trust in me, faith the LORD.
2 Kings vi. 16. Fear not, for they Deliverance that be with us are more than they from Enemies. that be with them.
2 Chron. xiv. 11. LORD, it is no thing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power.
2 Kings xvii. 39. The LORD your GOD ye shall fear, and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
Pf. xvii. 7. Shew thy marvellous loving kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee, from those that rise up against them.
Pf. xxvii. 5. In the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion ; in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me ; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Ver. 6. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me ; therefore will I offer in his tabernacle facrifices of joy ; I will fing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Pf. xxxvii. 32. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and feeketh to slay him.
Ver. 33. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Ver. 40. And the LORD shall help and deliver them : he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Ps. xcvii. 10. He preserveth the souls of his faints : he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Pf. cxii. 8. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Pf. cxviii. 7. The LORD taketh my part with them that help me : therefore fhail I see my desire upon mine enemies.
Pf. cxxv. 3. The rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Job viii. 22. They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling-place of the wicked shall come to nought.
Prov. xvi. 7. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
If. xxv. 5. Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers as the heat in a dry place ; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud : the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
IS. liv. 17. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper ; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, faith the LORD.
Ver. 15. Whosoever shall gather together against thee, shall fall for thy sake.
Deut. xxviii. 7. The LORD shall cause thine ene. mies, that rise up against thee, to be smitten before thy face : they shall come out against thee, one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Luke xviii. 7, 8. Shall not God avenge his own e. lect, that cry day and night unto him, though he bear
long with them? I tell you-he will avenge them speedily.
Aas xviii. 10. I am with thee ; and no man shall set on thee, to hurt thee.
Heb. xiii. 6. So that we may boldly fay, the LORD is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do unto me, Pf. cxviii. 6.
Luke i. 71. That we fhall be faved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.
Ver. 74. That he would grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear.
Ver. 75. In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
V. From OPPRESSION and INJUSTICE.
Exod. xxii. 26. If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it to him by that the sun goeth down.
Ver. 27. For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin : Wherein shall he sleep? And it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear ; for I am gracious.
Pf. xii. 5. For the oppression of the poor, for the fighing of the needy, now will I arise, faith the LORD: I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
PS. XXXV. 10. All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee? which deliverest the poor from him who is too strong for him ; yea, the poor and the needy, from him that spoileth him.
Pf. lxxii. 4. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
Ver. 14. He shall redeem their souls from deceit and violence ; and precious shall their blood be in his fight.
Pf. cix. 31. He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to fave him from those that condemn his soul.
Pf. cxlvi. 7. Which executeth judgment for the oppressed.
Eccl. v. 8. If thou feeft the oppression of the poon and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter : for he that is higher than the highest regardeth, and there be higher than they.
If. liv. 14. In righteousness shalt thou be establish-ed : thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear ; and from terror, for it shall not come nigh thee.
VI. From SLANDERS and REPROACH.
Fob v. 21. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue ; neither shalt thou be afraid of the de. struction when it cometh.
Fob xi. 15. Thou shalt lift up thy face without spot. : * Pj. xxxvii. 6. He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noon-day.
Pf. xxxi. 20. Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man : thou shalt keep them fecretly in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues.
Pf. lvii. 3. He shall send from heaven, and save. me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy, and his truth.
If. li. 7. Hearken unto me, ye" that Reproach. know righteousness, the people in whose
heart is my law : fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
