A picturefque View of Rottingdean, well executed, adorns the defcription i but the plate of Brighton is the worft of any in the whole work.
We are at a lofs to know why, confi- dering the celebrity
of the place, the penetration of Mr. Phillips, the pub- liflier, did not influence him to give a folding print, like that of Kant/gate, of Brighton, in which he might have in- troduc>d the Prince's Pavilion, and a perfpe6tive of the Steyne. However, aa lie folicits communications for the improvement of future editions, we hope to fee this hint properly noticed. Brighton merits equal attention with Weymoutb ; and the View of the Efpla- nade of the latter, drawn by J. Nixon, Efq. cannot be too highly commended.
