Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.Heb, xi. 34.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die O house of Israel.-Ezek. xxxiii. 11.

"Turn he cries, ye sinners, turn,
By his life your God hath sworn,
He would have you turn and live,
He would all the world receive.

If your death were his delight,
Would he you to life invite?
Would he ask, obtest, and cry,

Why will you resolve to die?"—Hymn 8.

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of waters in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.—Isa. xxxii. 2.

"To the haven of thy breast,
O Son of Man, I fly!
Be my refuge and my rest,
For O the storm is high!
Save me from the furious blast;

A covert from the tempest be!
Hide me, Jesus, till o'erpast

The storm of sin I see."-Hymn 292.

In thee is all my hope;

And raise the fallen up:
Hearken to my dying cry;

My wounds compassionately see;
Me, a sinner, pass not by,

Who gasp for help to thee."
