Simeon's Song of joy at the shewing of the Infant Christ to him; and his prophecy that Christ should be the Light of the whole world.

Simeon blessed God, and said,—

m. Dec. LÖRD, | now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy wórd: Can. For mine eyes have seen Thy Sälvation;

2 Dec. Whïch | Thōu hast prepared · before the face of äll péo ple cr. Can. To be a light to lighten the Gentiles; and to be the glory of Thy (sl.) peoplė Ís·ra-èl.

For this we, too, bless God, saying,

ff. Dec. Glory | be to the Father; and to the Son; and to the Holy Ghost; Can. As it was in the beginning; is now; and ever shall bē, (sl.) world without ênd Amēn.
