20....And afterward Mofes and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus faith the Lord God of Ifrael, let my people go. And Pharaoh faid, Who is the Lord, that I fhould obey his voice, to let Ifrael go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Ifrael go. And he said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, hinder the people from their work? Get you unto your bur.

21....And Pharaoh faid, Behold, the people of the land are many, and ye make them reft from their burdens let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein: and let them not regard vain words. And the officers of the children of Ifrael did fee that they were in evil case.

22....And the Lord fpake unto Mofes and unto Aaron, faying, When Pharaoh fhall fpeak unto you, faying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou fhalt fay unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and caft it before Pharaoh, and it fhall become a ferpent. And Mofes and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did fo as the Lord had commanded and Aaron caft down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his fervants, and it became a ferpent.

23... Then Pharaoh also called the wife men and the forcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they alfo did inlike manner with their enchantments; for they caft down every man his rod, and they became ferpents; but Aaron's rod, swallowed up their rods.

24....And the Lord faid unto Mofes, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refufeth to let the people go. Take thy rod, and ftretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, that they may become blood. And Pharaoh turned, and went into his houfe, neither did he fet his heart to this also.

25....And the Lord faid unto Mofes and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of athes of the furnace, and let Moles fprinkle it toward the heaven in the fight of Pharaoh; and it fhall become small duft in all the land of Egypt, and fhall be a boil breaking forth with blains, upon man and upon beaft throughout all the land of Egypt.

26....And they took afhes of the furnace, and flood before Pharaoh; and Mofes fprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beaft.-And the magicians could not ftand before Mofes because of the boil: for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.-And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them.

27....And the Lord faid unto Mofes, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt. And Mofes ftretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the Lord fent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground. So there was hail and fire mingled with the hail very grievous, fo that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt.

28...And the hail fmore, throughout all the land of Egypt, all that was in the field, both man and beaft : and the hail finote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field. And Pharaoh sent, and called for Mofes and Aaron, and said unto them, I have finned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. Entreat the Lord, for it is enough, that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail and I will let you go.

29...And Moles faid unto him, As foon as I am gone out of the city I will fpread abroad my hands unto the Lord and the thunder fhall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth

is the Lord's. But as for thee and thy fervants, I know that ye will not yet fear the Lord God.

30....And Mofes went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the Lord and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth. And when Pharaoh faw that the rain, and the hail, and the thunders were ceafed, he finned yet more and hardened his heart, he and his fervants.

31....And the Lord faid unto Mofes, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt. And Mofes ftretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. They faw not one another, neither arofe any from his place for three days: but all the children of Ifrael had light in their dwellings. g2.... But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not let the people go. And Pharaoh faid unto Mofes, Get thee from me, take heed to thy felf, fee my face no more for in that day thou feeft my face thou fhalt die. And Mofes faid, Thou hast spoken well : I will fee thy face again no more.

33....And the Lord fpake unto Mofes, yeill I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt: afterwards he will let you go hence. And it came to pafs, that, at midnight, the Lord fmote all the first born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh, who fat on his throne, unto the first-born of the captive in the dungeon. And Pharaoh rofe up in the night he and all his fervants, and all the Egyptians ; and there was a great cry in Egypt: for there was not a house where there was not one dead.*

34....And he called for Mofes and Aaron by night, and faid, rife up, and get ye forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Ifrael; and go, ferve the Lord, as ye have faid, Alfo take your flocks and your herds, as ye have faid, and be gone: and bless me alfo.

35....And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people that they might fend them out of the land in hafte : for they faid, we be all dead men. And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their fhoulders.

36...And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled and the heart of Pharaoh and of his fervants turned against the people; and they faid, Why have we done this, that we have let Ifrael go from ferving us? And he made ready his chariot and took the people with him. And he took fix hundred chefen chariots, and captains over every one of them.And the Egyptians purfued after the children of Ifrael, and overtook them encamped by the fea.

37....And the children of Ifrael lifted up their e reyes, and, behold the Egyptians marched atter then and they were fore afraid; and the children of Ifrael cried out unto the Lord. And they said unto Mofes, Because there were no graves in Egypt, haft thou taken us away to die in the wilderneís? Wherefore haft thou dealt thus with us? For it had been better for us to

And the children of Ifrael went into the midst of the fea upon dry ground; and the waters were a wall unto them, on the right hand, and on their leit. And the Egyptians purfued and went in after them to the midft of the fea, even all Pharaoh's horles, his chariots, and his horfemen.,

41....And the Lord faid unto Mofes, Stretch out thine hand over the fea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians. And Mofes ftretched forth his hand over the fea, and the fea returned to his Arength, when the morning appeared, and the Egyptians Bled against it: and the Lord overthrew the Egyp
