A S the following Charge was not defigned for publication, it may be neceffary to inform the Reader why it is now made public. The Author, when at Bath, received a preffing invitation to engage in the Ordination of the Rev. J. B. Accordingly he arrived in Town two days before that on which the Ordination was to be performed. In the first of these, the following Thoughts were committed to paper in the fame order and dress in which they now appear. When he fat down in his Study, a defire to approve himself to God, and by ferious counfels to do good to the young Minister, were, the only motives which, he hopes, influenced his mind. But his affectionate and well-meant Endeavours have had various comments put |
