MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, with capitals and elegant borders (in which are depicted Arabesques, Birds, Insects, Fruits, Flowers, &c.), finely illuminated in gold and colours, and also adorned with 29 SPLENDID MINIATURES (13 large and 16 small), painted in gold and colours by a Flemish Artist in 1544 (this date being in two of the borders), probably for a Mademoiselle du Quesnoyt, as "Je suis a mademoiselle du quesnoyt," is written on the inside cover, morocco extra, g. e. SEC. IVI This Service Book subsequently belonged to Madame de Tollenaere, whose Husband Quintin was living in 1582. On the fly-leaf will be found the following inscription: "Ce Livre appertient A Marye de Cambry femme et espeuze de Quentin de Tolnare celuy quy le trouuera prye que elle Luy soit Rendue et elle donnera largement Le vin."
