Two or three artists, have written to us, offering payment for the insertion of their names and addresses in the Catalogue of living Artists; and others have applied to know what we pay for communications. To these enquiries we beg to say, that we neither give nor take fees, but solicit communications on every subject.connected with the Arts. Our Advertisement in the Morning Papers, the beginning of December last, expressly invited the communication of omissions, errors or amendments in our New Catalogue, which were left for public inspection, and we take this opportunity of thanking many friends for such corrections, which has made the Lists the most correct in every respect that have ever appeared of the living Artists of England.

LODGE'S Portraits of Illustrious Personages of Great Britain, and the republished Edition of Dugdale's St. Pauls, the review of the new coinage, with other arrears, in our next.

In the last Edinburgh Review, Lord Elgin is praised for having
rescued the Marbles from destruction!! This is indeed & triomph
for Lord Elgin and the Government. Time has at last wiung this
acknowledgement from the iron obstinacy of the Oppositibu
and yet had their voice been listened to, what would have become
of the Elgin Marbles? ED.
