their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery, and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. 10 It is he that giveth a salvation unto kings: servant from the hurtful sword, 11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity: and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. 12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished afb ter the similitude of a palace: 13 That our garners may be full, affording c all manner of store ; that our sheep may bring forth thousands, and ten thousands in our streets. 14 That our oxen may be a strong to labour, that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. 15 Happy is that people that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

CXLV.

David's Psalm of praise.

I WILL extol thee, my God, O king: and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee: and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: ⚫ and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious

honour of thy majesty : & of thy wondrous a works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts and I will b declare

thy greatness. 7 They 7 shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness: and shall sing 8 of thy righteousness.

8 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion: slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all and his tender mercies are over all his works. 10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom: and talk of thy power. 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts: and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom is dan everlasting kingdom: and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall: and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. 15 The eyes of all wait upon thee: and thou givest them

their meat in due season.

16 Thou openest thine hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways: and holy in all his works.

18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him: to all that call

LORD doth build up Jerusalem he gathereth together the outcasts of 3 Israel. 3 He healeth the broken in heart: and bindeth up their awounds. 44 He telleth the number of the stars: he calleth them all by their names. 5 Great is our Lord, and of great power : b his understanding is infinite. 6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

1 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving: sing praise upon the harp unto our God : 8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. 9 He giveth to the beast his food: and to the young ravens which cry. 10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. 11 The LORD

that fear him: in those that hope in his mercy.

12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Zion. 13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates: he hath blessed thy children within thee. 14 c He maketh peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the d finest of the wheat. 15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly. 16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoar frost like ashes.

CXLVIII.

b PRAISE ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him all his angels: praise ye him all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him sun and moon: praise him all ye stars of light.

Praise him ye heavens of heavens and ye wa- I ters that be above the

heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
