THE ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA met in Calvary Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, Pa., Thursday, May 16, 1901, at 11 o'clock A.M., and was opened with a sermon by the Moderator, Rev. Charles A. Dickey, D.D., on Col. iv. 11: "Fellow workers unto the kingdom of God."

After the sermon, the Assembly was constituted with prayer. The Assembly took recess until 3 o'clock P.M., and was closed with prayer.

THURSDAY, May 16, 3 o'clock P.M.

The Assembly met, and was opened with prayer.

Upon the report of the Permanent Committee on Commissions, the following ministers and elders were recognized as duly ap pointed Commissioners to this Assembly, and their names were entered upon the
