CIRCULATION OF THE VOLUMES OF THE AMERICAN TRACT SOCIETY. At the time of the formation of this Society, in 1825, the sale of standard, practical, evangelical works in our country was small, and their circulation quite limited. After the Society had issued about two hundred Tracts, attention was given, in 1827, to the publication of one or more volumes, as the providence of God might direct; and the way to issue the first was made clear by the donation of two hundred dollars each from four venerable men, the late Hon.
