all the world; exhorting him to forgive from the bottom of his heart all perfons that have offended him, and if he hath offended any other to ask their forgiveness; and where he hath done wrong or injury to any man, that he make amends to the uttermoft of bis power. And if he bath not before difpofed of his goods, let him then be admonished to make his Will, and to declare bis debts what he oweth, and what is owing to him, for the better difcharging of his Confcience, and the quieting of bis Executors. But men fhould be often put in remembrance to take order for the fettling of their temporal eftates whilst they are in health

The Prieft fhould not omit earnestly to move fuch fick perfons as are of ability, to be liberal to the poor.

per. • The foregoing Exhortation and Examination need not be repeated every day, but only so often as the Prieft fhall fee convenient.

When this Examination and Confeffion are over, the Company may come in again, and then the Prieft fhall kneel down, and say,

HE EAR us, Almighty and most merciful God and Saviour; extend thy accustomed goodness to this thy fervant, who is grieved with Sicknefs. Sanctify, we beseech thee, this thy fatherly correction to him; that the fenfe of his weaknefs may add strength to his faith, and seriousness, to his repentance. That if it fhall be thy good th pleasure to restore him to his former health, be may lead the refidue of his life in thy fear and to thy glory; or elfe give him grace fo to take thy vifitation, that after this painful life ended, he may dwell with thee in life everlasting, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. If the fick perfon is vifited conftantly, Abfolution is to be repeated no oftner, than as the Prieft ball fee just cause; and when it is omitted, the Priest fhall then proceed directly to the Collect which is next after this Absolution.
