A close look at the Gospel of Matthew readily reveals (even without the necessity of rigid scholarship) what a disjointed (and complete mess) it is. It is truly amazing that the church at Rome has managed to deceive so many millions (for so many years) with such shoddy (and at times absurd) story-telling.
