The Prayer of Confecration.
Lmighty God, our heavenly Father, who of thy tender

cy didst give thine only Son Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the Cross for our redemption, who made there (by his one oblation of himself once offered) a full, perfect, and sufficient facrifice, oblation, and satisfaction for the fins of the whole world, and did institute, and in his holy Gospel command us to continue a perpetual memory of that his precious Death, until his coming again; Hear us, O merciful Father, we most humbly befeech thee, and grant that we receiving these thy creatures of Bread and Wine, according to thy Son our Saviour Jesus Christs holy institution, in remembrance of his Death and Passion, may be partakers of his most blessed Body and Blood: Who in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks he brake it, and gave it to his disciples, faying, Take, eat, this is my Body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of me. Likewise after Supper he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of this, for this is my Blood of the New Testament, which is Ihed for you, and for many for the remission of fins: Do this, as oft as ye shall drink it, in remembrance of me. Amen.

A Prayer to be said before receiving the Sacrament. Lift my Soul unto thee, my God, humbly imploring thee graciously

to assist me in the Duty I am going to perform. Let the remembrance of my Sins, and of my Saviour's bitter sufferings for them create in me a hearty Repentance of them, and engage me for ever to love and ferve him whe laid down bis life for me. Cleanse me, O Lord, from all filthiness of Flesh and Spirit, that I may be a meet Guest at thy Table, and a real partaker of those Benefits whicha Chrif hath purchased for me : and accept of these may fine cere Defires through the same Jesus Chrift.

Let it be an eternal obligation upon me of Love and Obedience to thee. And O grant me such a measure of thy Grace and assistance, as-may enable me to be more careful and diligent in the discharge of my Duty; and to walk as the redeemed of the Lord, in all holiness and godliness of Life, through the same Jesus Christ our Saviour. Our Father, 8°c. Lord and heavenly Father, we thy humble servants, entirely

And here we offer and present unto thee, O Lord, ourselves, our souls, and bodies, to be a reasonable, holy, and lively sacrifice unto thee; humbly beseeching thee, that all we who are partakers of this holy Communion, may be fulfilled with thy grace and heavenly benediction. And although we be unworthy through our manifold fins to offer unto thee any facrifice; yet we bescech thee to accept this our bounden duty and service; not weighing our merits, but pardoning our offences, through Jesus Christ our Lord; by whom, and with whom, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, all honour and glory be unto thee, O Father Almghty, world with. out end.
